The Scotts

Our story began in Maracaibo, Venezuela in 2005. Who knew that God would lead a small-town girl over 2,000 miles away to meet her dream boy! That summer, while serving as support staff for ITAM Ministries, God laid the foundation for two lifelong loves. The first love culminated in our marriage in 2010. The second led us to United World Mission where we were appointed as missionaries to Scotland in 2016.

In between God gave us the gift of adoption. In Christ, we have “received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’“ Early in our marriage, we began to felt the call to share that same love with children in need. In 2015, we welcomed Judah Abel into our hearts and home. Abel is compassionate, friendly, energetic, and sometimes downright wild! He is the joy of our lives and we love him fiercely. We can clearly see the hand of God upon his life and are excited to see how God uses Abel to touch lives in Scotland.

These days you can find us insanely enjoying life as a family. Our days are filled with Nerf wars, pretending to be gorillas, going on nature walks, or hosting people in our home. Our greatest passion is living out 2 Peter 3:18, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” We primarily seek to do that through leading small groups and discipleship relationships, helping others grow in knowledge and understanding of who Jesus Christ is.
